Headquarters: Austin, Texas
URL: https://solarleadfactory.com/

“...solar power will be the single largest source of electricity generation... People do not understand the magnitude of the business. It’s really very, very significant.”

-Elon Musk

Once a fringe thing hippies did, going solar is now a mainstream investment. It took over 30 years for the first 1 million solar installations to be completed. It only took another 3 years to install the second million. Solar technology is cheaper, better, and more reliable than ever. Unless your head is buried in a coal mine, it’s becoming abundantly clear that solar is the future.

With rapid growth & mainstream adoption comes a massive investment and opportunity in the space. Installation companies are growing quickly, making them hungry for even more growth. The technology is dialed, the installation process is clean, but it’s still a challenge to find customers. Since customers that convert into sales are the lifeblood of any company, sales leads are the raw tool that unleashes massive growth for solar installers.

That’s why we built SolarLeadFactory.

About Us:

SolarLeadFactory has helped over 511,000 homeowners looking to buy solar. We have helped hundreds of solar installers grow their businesses - and aim to help thousands more.

Our business is built on a proprietary software platform allowing us to deliver a best in class product and innovate constantly. We have in-house developers, digital marketing experts & scientists relentlessly driving the product forward.

Our mission: to unlock consumer demand for solar power.

About You:

You’re looking for a way to make a huge positive difference in the world & tap into a massive economic opportunity (some say a $10 Trillion Dollar opportunity)

You want to be part of a small but driven team making a big impact on one of the most pressing issues of our time. You share some of our core values including “Making Learning the Key Metric”, “Holding Yourself Accountable”, “Always be Testing Something,” and “Master your Craft”.

Make no mistake, this will NOT be a ‘coasting & chillin’ type job. However, the success you earn will be rewarding mentally and financially. Sales is a tester and builder of character - and ultimately about delivering solutions to one of the most important problems in an industry that is absolutely critical.

Do you want to learn? To grow? To make a difference?

Critical Skills:

  • Solar experience is not required, but an interest in solar is
  • Ambition to WIN
  • Problem-solving & ability to find solutions
  • Excellent verbal & written skills
  • Ability to connect with and influence decision-makers
  • Fluidity with numbers
  • Experience in selling to marketing departments a plus
  • Massive amount of (renewable) Energy, Initiative, Commitment & Perseverance
  • Do-er, creator, “make it happen-er”

Your Mission:

We are looking for someone with confidence, commitment & energy to help solar installers grow their business.

If you’re passionate about solutions selling and helping customers get more of what they need (sales) and have an interest in solar energy this might be a great fit!

You will cultivate relationships with the marketing departments and leadership teams of solar installers around the country. Along the way you’ll discover their specific needs, develop solutions to their problems, and overcome obstacles to generate success.

We strive not to build the biggest sales organization, but the best. This is about getting really good at sales & helping people to the fullest extent that we can.

What you get out of this:

  • Competitive salary & huge opportunity with uncapped commission
  • Results-driven workplace
  • Remote location - work from anywhere in a North American time zone

We are shaking up our industry and working day in and day out to make solar on everyone’s roof. Come shape your future & the future of the world.

Awesome Table: Director of Engineering Operations

5/28/2020

Logo.gif?ixlib=rails 2.1

Headquarters: Paris, France
URL: https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/awesome_table/56088344336

We are hiring a Director of Engineering with a strong operations focus. Your main responsibilities will be to (1) ensure that production runs smoothly and (2) own the planning and release process in order to make sure that we ship on time, and

Managing the operations of multiple products is a real challenge for someone who knows how to scale an engineering organization. We have the ambition of launching a few new products too, but cannot do that until we are sure that we’re building on a solid foundation.

Our technical team is composed of 12 people, and growing.
Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform, and more precisely a mix of Google App Engine, Google Apps Script,  Firebase Real Time Database, PostgreSQL among other components. Our main programming languages are Java, Apps Script, Javascript and Typescript on the front-end.

This is a technical role first, and managerial second. You’ll have to get your hands dirty and we expect you to have a broad range of technical skills. You won’t be managing people directly at first until you have proven yourself.

The Director of Engineering Operations will report to the CTO and work closely with the Product and Development teams. We had offices in Paris and Milan that might reopen, however the role can be remotely-based anywhere in the EMEA region.

Your responsibilities:
  • Keep the lights on. That’s the most important part. Thanks to the amazing infrastructure provided by Google, they rarely go off, but having so many users, every time that happens is extremely painful. This means planning for the worst, thinking about risks, monitoring the age, maintenance and fit with our evolving scale of the various pieces of our infrastructure.
  • Drive and own the development and release planning in order to make sure we release on time. This means preempting and warning about delays, whatever their cause, ensuring everything’s ready on time for a new release, and communicating continuously over how the planning is evolving.
  • Implement or improve our testing, QA and release processes in order to make them as robust and automated (where it makes sense) as possible. That means modernizing our continuous deployment pipelines, environments infrastructure, provisioning infrastructure, etc
  • Own the downtime process. Jump on a production issue whatever the time and day, and don’t quit the frontline until it’s solved. Ensure support and sales channels are maintained up to speed on the details and what to communicate to customers. Write the post-mortem and implement remediation actions.
  • Prepare and execute big migrations. We have a number of products that have outgrown their database technology and will need some form of migration.

You:
  • You don’t blame interns who drop the database, you make it impossible that it happens in the first place
  • You care very deeply about keeping the lights on, and will take full responsibility for it
  • You get to the bottom of things
  • You think in terms of dynamics, risks, what happens through time
  • You really like organizing things and “running them” more than “building them”. We want to hire someone that will teach us how to work
  • Extremely time- and detail-oriented

Your qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years as a software engineer, and 5+ years as an engineering manager preferably for SaaS products with at least 1 million users. Good knowledge of micro-service architecture and distributed systems.
  • Design tools: proficiency with spreadsheets, Github, Jira and other typical software engineering tools
  • Language: fluent English, French or Italian is a big plus
  • Writing: you enjoy writing, you care about words and grammar, you are sharp and thorough
  • Collaboration: Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues across organizations and functional groups
  • Project management: you are organized, able to manage multiple projects at the same time, and know how to report progress in a clear and interesting way

Benefits:
  • A good compensation that gives you financial peace of mind, wherever you live
  • 30 days of vacation
  • Lunch vouchers (for every worked day)
  • 50% of public transportation for daily commute covered
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Paid parental leave

How to apply:
We want to get a sense of how you think. To that end, please use your cover letter to share work you’ve done in your career that is relevant with the responsibilities listed above.

We’ll let you know that we’ve received your application and what the next steps are. We can’t wait to hear from you!

We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. Each new hire is an opportunity for us to bring in a different perspective, and we are always eager to further diversify our company. AwesomeTable is committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career.

Our core values

We’re big on our company culture, and keen on hiring like-minded people. So it’s important you share our values:
  • We put the needs of our players and community first

  • We voice our opinions, but we’re open to new ideas

The expertise means you’ll get to learn a lot from other great developers. We all work remotely, 100% of the time, and are currently spread out across Europe and North America.

We have a huge array of interesting problems to solve such as: clearing a lot of technical debt, preparing the platform for scaling, adapting our product to run in geographically distributed datacenters while supporting a high speed, low latency game servers, optimising server to client communications, making the client run on new platforms and a lot of others. You will own the product as much as any of us and take collective responsibility in maintaining and improving it over time.

We look for smart and independent people who work best in a team where everyone pulls their weight and collaborates with each other. Proactivity is key so we can improve and expand our systems without micromanagement. You will be given freedom to manage your own work, and with that comes responsibility (insert Spider-Man quote here).
