Reconnect is looking to add a well-rounded Product Designer to their rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will bring solid UX/UI skills as well as visual design skills to our Experiencegroup. The Product Designer will mostly focus on our desktop and mobile apps, but will be asked to contribute to brand design beyond that. 

This position is based in Cumberland, ME with a work from home component. Remote applicants will be considered. 

How You’ll Contribute 

• Work closely with other departments to understand business/product goals and develop user interfaces for new features and functionality 
• Deliver pixel-perfect mockups to our product and engineering teams 
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows 
• Work with front-end developers while they implement your designs 
• Employ responsive design principles throughout all UI design phases 
• Act as an advocate for end users 
• Maintain corporate branding guidelines and our design system  
• Prepare assets for a range of items including digital and printed collateral, trade show graphics, email newsletters, pitch decks, and product hardware 
• Support and elevate brand awareness and company profile 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

What Will Make You Successful 

• 3+ years of experience in product, UX/UI, communications, print, and digital design 
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product and collateral design skills 
• Experience designing for mobile applications 
• Familiarity with modern web architecture (HTML, CSS, JS) 
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to translate content into user flows and diagrams 
• Ability to thrive in an environment with short feedback loops 
• Being resourceful and detail focused 
• Experience presenting designs to team leadership 
• Ability to pivot to meet urgent deadlines when needed 
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Figma, and Microsoft products 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Solid understanding of print production process 
• Some travel will be required 

Bonus Points 

• Experience in the criminal justice or addiction spaces 
• Fluent in HTML, CSS, or JS 
• Experience with Mailchimp
