Error restoring old wallet

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong and wondered if anyone else has had this issue.

I have installed and run the latest Litecoin Core and am trying to use an old wallet.dat. I replaced the default wallet that was already in the files, and opened Litecoin Core, but after a while of rescanning I get the error message "Failed to rescan the wallet during initialisation."

The wallet and contents are from 2017 which is probably the issue right? I'm sure Litecoin will have updated and changed in some way since then.

Any help greatly appreciated!
