So I use this faucet website of the type: you visit it once a day and get a small bit of Zcash in return. I do it since a month and it works as expected. It is not much but as how I view it any amount of Zcash matters, i.e., specifically re selling pressure on the market.
Here is it: www.pipeflare.io/r/gqw
Edit: It's around a dollar worth of Zcash per month at current prices.

So, I downloaded ZecWallet for Mac from zecwallet.co . Today I got a text from my ISP saying that I've used 1 terabyte of data. Sure enough, my router recorded 1 terabyte of incoming traffic yesterday from somewhere.
I can't 100% verify it was ZecWallet at fault, but a quick test activity monitor seems to indicate it took 2.5gb of incoming data to sync about 0.3% of the blockchain.
Has anyone experienced anything like this, and is there a way to download the full blockchain and sync from a local source? Is there another piece of software I should be using?
I want to run a full node for all my software, so lite isn't really an option. But obviously using 8tb of data to sync the blockchain isn't really possible. Not sure if this is a bug I should be bringing up to zecwallet, or if zecwallet is even legit, or if I should be using something else. Thanks for any help, just trying to get a wallet!

This is a faucet I use daily to get some privacy coins, you only need to claim 1x per day. Their Dash faucet is new and only has a limited supply, so get as much as you can early. Here is my referral link: https://www.pipeflare.io/r/1k7
I also use another faucet for some free ZEN, if you're interested in more privacy coins. Referral link: https://getzen.cash/auth/register?ref=280008
