My brother is kind of inexperienced in crypto, but invested during the last boom several years ago.
He had most of his holdings in zed, and a couple of days ago he wanted to change it to Bitcoin and send it over to coinbase.
When he sent it he thought that since it showed the BTC value during the withdrawal, that Bittrex would convert it to Bitcoin if he sent it to a bitcoin adress.
Now the withdrawal is marked with "invalid" and his funds are gone.
Are there any way to get this money back? Should Bittrex realize that the address wasn't a zed wallet and stop the transaction before it happened?
TLDR: Sent ZED to BTC address by mistake through Bittrex, any way of recovering funds?
